`Echoes Street

Echoes Street is the second in a series of 16 paintings I usually accompany each painting with a poem I have written myself. Street of Echoes I wander through the streets Waiting for something A smile, a hug or a conversation. And I find none of these. Faced with lives I rush to see if I can catch the past Hoping to find something As precious as a conversation. Whether right or wrong. Today the world doesn’t stop, To think about tomorrow. Nor about what has passed. It just flies by... Through streets and alleys Stopping on the streets of echoes. 1996
